LOWER SHOSHONE – Nymph, dry/dropper and streamer rigs are all producing. Chubbies, hoppers, rubber legs, duracells, jig yellow spots, pine squirrel leeches, thin mints and rusty trombones.
BIG HORN / WIND – Toss a dry/dropper in the shallower faster riffles. Chubbies, hoppers, perdigons, sow bugs, worms, RS2’s, Ray Charles, pine squirrel leeches, yuk bugs, thin mints, 9 lb hammers, cowbell craws, yuk dusters and zirdles.
NORTH FORK – Caddis, drakes, ants, hoppers and attractors have trout looking up. Toss small stonefly nymphs or jigged soft hackles like duracells and jig yellow spots under a chubby.
SOUTH FORK – Dry/dropper fishing with a chubby or hopper and a jigged attractor nymph like a duracell or CDC pheasant tail below it has been good. Trout are also taking hoppers, ants, caddis and drakes. Stripping streamers has also been consistent.
CLARK’S FORK – Dry/dropper and streamer rigs are producing. Chubbies, hopper, ants, rubber legs, duracells, jig yellow spot, CDC pheasant tails and rusty trombones.
GREYBULL / WOOD – Hoppers, ants and attractor dry flies like Micro Chubbies, stimulators, and Amy’s Ants are working well.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Drakes, baetis, hoppers and ants on the the NE Corner streams (Lamar, Soda Butte, Slough). Baetis and swinging soft hackles and streamers on the Firehole, Gibbon and Madison.
NEWTON LAKES – Damsels, ants, beetles, chironomids, scuds and balanced leeches.
LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Damsels, ants, beetles, chironomids, scuds and balanced leeches.
