LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are 1300 cfs. Mother’s Day caddis are everywhere, with baetis and tricos hatching as well. Caddis dries or dry/dropper with a caddis pupa or larva underneath has been working well.

BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are 1100 cfs and moss is becoming an issue. Lots of boats but fishing remains good. Baetis are hatching and have the trout looking up. Few tricos and caddis as well. Nymph with baetis nymphs, sow bugs and worms. Streamers have been producing some big trout as well.

NORTH FORK – Flows are rising rapidly with the hot weather but should drop again by the weekend as the temps cool dramatically later this week. The river is now closed to fishing below Newton Creek until July 1st. Go heavy with your tippet (0X-2X). Skwalas and March Browns are hatching but nymphing will produce the most fish. Stoneflies like rubber legs, 20 inchers, and halfbacks as well as Bloody Marys, pheasant tails and jig soft hackles have been productive. If you’re more into stripping or swinging streamers, those can both be a great way to hook into some of the bigger migratory trout. As always, carry your bear spray!

SOUTH FORK – Flows are rising rapidly with the hot weather but should drop again by the weekend as the temps cool dramatically later this week. Skwalas and March Browns are hatching. Nymph with stonefly nymphs like rubber legs and 20 inchers as well as smaller beadheads like March Browns, possie buggers, hare’s ears, perdigons, baetis nymphs and midges, but streamers have been working as well. Bring you bear spray, especially in the Valley section!

CLARK’S FORK – Flows are rising rapidly with the hot weather but should drop again by the weekend as the temps cool dramatically later this week. Mother’s Day caddis are out in huge numbers but nymphing stonefly and beadhead attractor nymphs deep will work as well. Always worth pulling a few streamers through some of the deeper holes as well. Remember your bear spray, even down on the valley floor!

GREYBULL / WOOD – Flows are rising rapidly with the hot weather but should drop again by the weekend as the temps cool dramatically later this week. Toss some attractor dries or nymph with stoneflies and beadheads.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Closed to fishing until Memorial Day Weekend 2021! Yellowstone licenses are now available online at Recreation.gov…although prices have gone up quite a bit!

NEWTON LAKES – Both lakes are open. East Newton is still very full. Midges, callibaetis, scuds and leeches.

LUCE / HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Both lakes are open. Midges, callibaetis, scuds, leeches, ants, beetles and parachute Adams.
