LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are around 1325 cfs and it’s starting to clean up. Fishing has been good through the town section. Dry/dropper or bobber rigs with beadhead nymphs like yellow sallies and duracells. Streamers on the banks are also working well.
BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are around 1900 cfs and fishing has been good. Grass/moss is an issue but not unbearable. Tricos and PMD’s are out early for the head hunters. Chubbies on top with a crawdad dropper like a yuk bug, zirdle, thin mint or cowbell craw has been the ticket.
NORTH FORK – Ants, beetles, hoppers and attractors on top. Caddis and PMD’s are out. Drop a size 12-18 bead head nymph or stonefly nymph under a hopper for a dry/dropper rig.
SOUTH FORK – Ants, beetles, hoppers, caddis and attractors on top. Drop a size 12-18 bead head nymph or stonefly nymph under a hopper for a dry/dropper rig.
CLARK’S FORK – The upper river, as well as Crandall, Sunlight and Dead Indian Creeks have been fishing well. Attractors, ants, beetles, hoppers and size 14-18 bead head nymphs. The lower river below the canyon to the state line has also been fishing decent. Fish the same bugs as the upper river but bump your fly size up.
GREYBULL / WOOD – Both are clear and fishing well. Attractors, ants, beetles, hoppers and size 14-18 bead head nymphs.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – The NE Corner streams (Lamar, Slough, Soda Butte) have been fishing well with terrestrials…ants, beetles, hoppers and crickets. Same bugs on the Upper Yellowstone above the falls.
NEWTON LAKES – Getting warm so fish early or late in the day. Beetles, ants, chironomids, scuds, and leeches.
LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Getting warm so fish early or late in the day. Beetles, ants, chironomids, scuds, and leeches.
SUNSHINE RESERVOIRS – Beetles, ants, chironomids, scuds, and leeches.
