LOWER SHOSHONE – Flows are around 1425 cfs and water clarity is pretty good as it’s just a little green but very fishable. Clarity diminishes as you get farther downstream toward Corbett and Willwood dams. Focus on the edges and back eddies and look for trout sipping Mother’s Day caddis. Nymph, dry/dropper and streamer rigs have all been working well. Flies to use include: Chubbies, X Caddis, Jiggable Caddis, Thin Mints, Goldies, Rusty Trombones, Jawbreakers, pine squirrel leeches, San Juan worm and Duracells.

BIG HORN / WIND – Flows are around 3000 cfs and fishing has been good. Blue winged olives, midges, worms, leeches, sow bugs and streamers. Flies to use include: Two Bit Hookers, JuJu Baetis, wine worms, yuk bugs, thin mints, zirdles, perdigons, sow bugs, chubbies, Duracells, pine squirrel leeches, sparkle minnows, Peanut Envy and Jawbreakers.

NORTH FORK – The river is now CLOSED to fishing downstream of Newton Creek until July 1st. Flows are rising and the water is brown from snow melt with the much warmer temps we are seeing this week. Hopeful the river may come back into shape this weekend as the temps cool. If you give it a try, water clarity should be better in the mornings up by Pahaska or in the tributaries. Flies to use include: Pat’s rubber legs, yuk bugs, halfbacks, skwalas, 20 Inchers, Mega Princes, Two Bit Stone, CDC Stone, TJ Hookers, Thin Mints, Bloody Marys, soft hackle Pheasant Tails, Hustlers, Duracells and Copper Johns.

SOUTH FORK – Flows are rising and the water is brown from snow melt with the much warmer temps we are seeing this week. Hopeful the river may come back into shape this weekend as the temps cool. Flies to use include: Pat’s Rubber legs, skwalas, 20 Inchers, Two Bit Stones, CDC Stones, Thin Mints, soft hackle pheasant tails, Hustlers, Possie Buggers, Duracells, Goldies, Rusty Trombones and Jawbreakers.

CLARK’S FORK – Flows are rising and the water is brown from snow melt with the much warmer temps we are seeing this week. Hopeful the river may come back into shape this weekend as the temps cool. The upper river, along with Sunlight, Dead Indian and Crandall Creeks are better options if you give it a shot. Flies to use include: Pat’s Rubber legs, soft hackle pheasant tails, Duracells, prince nymphs, copper johns, perdigons, and hare’s ears.

GREYBULL / WOOD – Flows are rising and the water is brown from snow melt with the much warmer temps we are seeing this week. Hopeful the rivers may come back into shape this weekend as the temps cool. Flies to use include: Pat’s rubber legs, soft hackles pheasant tails, Duracells, prince nymphs, copper johns, hares ears and perdigons.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Closed to fishing until Memorial Day Weekend 2023!

NEWTON LAKES – Chironomids, scuds, beetles, leeches and streamers. Flies to use include: Ice Cream Cones, Zebra Midges, Balanced Leeches, Ice Off Jig Leech and woolly buggers.

LUCE/HOGAN RESERVOIRS – Chironomids, scuds, beetles, leeches and streamers. Flies to use include: Ice Cream Cones, Zebra Midges, Balanced Leeches, Ice Off Jig Leech and woolly buggers.

SUNSHINE RESERVOIRS – Chironomids, scuds, leeches and streamers. Flies to use include: Ice Cream Cones, Zebra Midges, Balanced Leeches, Ice Off Jig Leech and woolly buggers.
